Out of the blue, it seems, you are sent home with a tiny person, who you must keep alive and mold into a responsible adult. It is a daunting task and takes a lot of patience, for sure, and an experience like no other. However, because children don’t come with a handy user guide, it’s up to each of us to learn all there is about the process. Here are some links that might help.

Assumptions Kill Marriage
There are so many marriage killers but assumptions may be one of the worst. So often when people are trying to rescue their marriage, the focus is on what we say and how we say it. God’s Answer to Confusion

But one thing the doctor said caught my attention. She said, “Humans are not designed to function well in the unknown.” Her point was that right now there is so much that is unknown that it is creating anxiety, stress, depression, suicide, and volatility including domestic abuse…Read More
Finding God’s Will in a Dark World by Giving Thanks
This is the most tumultuous time in society I have seen in my lifetime. Like a hurricane, we have been hit with the covid shutdown, economic shutdown, increase in racial tension, unjustified shootings by police, increased murder, suicide, not being able to go to church, cities burning, a presidential election year, masks, social distancing, and not being able to hang out with friends. I am sure there have been worse times, but not that I have experienced.
I was in a meeting today and one of the participants said, “The world is angrier than it has been in a long time.” I have to agree. As believers, we have to guard ourselves from that pattern of this world and find the right response.
